PIE is committed to operating schools that are parent-teacher operated schools intent
on developing and implementing programs that meet the needs of each child.
The academic success of the students is our primary goal. PIE's schools
endeavor to provide necessary assistance to any student to ensure "no child
is left behind" and are willing to advance students according to their individual
capacity to higher academic achievement. Our goal is to produce students
who are proficient in reading, writing, math, and also fundamental background
knowledge of history, geography, science, literature, and the fine arts; students
who have the necessary foundation to succeed in high school and beyond.
Our goal is to graduate students of solid character and integrity, able to excel
in the pursuit of higher education, as well as make positive contributions to
the world and their community. Finally, our goal is continual engagement
of all parents in the educational process. Proven Success PIE (People Involved in Education, Inc.), currently operates a successful charter school, Sand Ridge Charter School, located in Sodaville, in the Lebanon School District. PIE has been in continuing successful operation for more than 13 years; operating in Brownsville in Central Linn School District (as Brownsville Academy), then in Lebanon School District (as Sand Ridge Academy), and then as Sand Ridge Charter School since June, 2002. |
EDUCATIONAL GOALS Philosophy and mission PIE is dedicated to serving the families of our community by providing an alternative within public education. PIE is committed to preparing students to be exemplary citizens with a life-time love of learning through our three-pronged approach of discipline, teaching expertise, and parental involvement. |
